Default New Station Possiblities Under Bush Plan

Some hypothetical scenarios that popped into my head:

This may be premature by several years, but couldn't the CEV be the basis
for a new station program, much as Apollo technology lead to Skylab?

I'm thinking at some point, if we wanted, we can design new modules for the
station that can be launched on the EELV and docked automatically. And
later a new station could be done launching the modules directly on the EELV
a la Skylab or Salyut/Mir.

On a related point, just as the Saturn 1B and the Saturn V shared an upper
stage, I wonder if one way to get a new HLLV if we don't want to pursue
Shuttle C is to use the ELLV's upper stages and design a new lower stage
and accompanying strap-on boosters.

Just random musings.

You pay for all this, you got it.

Otherwise, note that the Bush budget ends US involvement in ISS about
2016, around the time that all of this would be used in your plan.
Please talk to George about this.

Only about 15 years too late.
