NASA/JPL sent two Mars Exploration Rovers, called "Spirit" and "Opportunity", ESA sent Mars Express and I think the Japanese (?) sent another probe called Nozomi. They are expected to reach Mars around December this year. At http://mars.jpl.nasa.gov/mer/mission...trightnow.html you can see their current positions en route to their destination, they're quite one happy bunch :-) -- The butler did it. |

If all four probes en route make it to Mars, we will have a total of four orbiters and three landers (two of which are rovers), all operating simultaneously, early next year. We are a two-planet species. Get used to it. |
