Thanks Stephen - I have now posted two cancel messages in an attempt to
remove the reposted spam and have obtained the FAQ for this group in hard copy. Sorry to all concerned for causing such uproar - just needed a quiet bit of advice, as you've kindly provided. TeaTime (in at the deep end) .... biscuit anyone? |

So I see. :-) Bloody Lookout Depress has somehow contrived to get you to put the Control: line in the body, not the header. I don't use it, so I can't advise. Probably not worth the trouble: as is SOP (YABA) for USENET, the fallout from a minor "transgression" has already generated far more off-topic postings and wasted bandwidth than did the "original sin". :-) We must all be truly bored -- has the weather truly been that bad, or is it just the full Moon? Please try to remember the method when advising OE users. TeaTime was following your advice but typed the cancel in the body since there is no direct way of adding stuff to the header (the designers provided that as menu choice). There's little wrong with OE when supported by Quotefix these days for the average user. -- Graham W http://www.gcw.org.uk/ PGM-FI page updated, Graphics Tutorial WIMBORNE http://www.wessex-astro-society.freeserve.co.uk/ Wessex Dorset UK Astro Society's Web pages, Info, Meeting Dates, Sites & Maps Change 'news' to 'sewn' in my Reply address to avoid my spam filter. |

Which werewolf doesn't remember Oor Wullie?
He copied our hairstyle! Pure plagiarism. We were here first! Nothing is sacred these days. :-( Chris.B ;-) |

There's little wrong with OE when supported by Quotefix these days for the average user. I did try to use the MESSAGE - CANCEL MESSAGE option in OE, but it was greyed out on those postings. Experimenting since, I gather it greys out after about 24 hours for any given posting. Once the mud has dried, it sticks apparently. |
