Highlight one of his messages, then pull down Messages-Create Filter
From Message...

The rest is fairly self-explanatory, except if you're using Thunderbird
3.x, be sure to enter a filter name (Thunderbird 2.x would pre-fill the
name with the email address). Also, Thunderbird by default only applies
filters a newsgroup at a time.

One also has the problem, I assume that if someone replies tht the killfiled

Brian

Yeah, but nobody really replies to that low-life.

Good grief - people get newsgroups via email?
I can only imagine the volume.
My archaic Free Agent has its advantages after all.
(You browse the headers and download the messages you choose)

LOL. Not quite that bad; it's a newsgroup server that's accessible via
Thunderbird. It's separate from the mail server.

I don't know where you possibly got that idea. The "From:" field of a
newsgroup message contains an email address, and by default that is what
Thunderbird filters on. It doesn't mean accessing newsgroups via email,
silly.
