Default [fitsbits] FITS Conventions reminder

This is a brief reminder about the FITS conventions that are currently
being considered for the Registry of FITS Conventions (see
http://fits.gsfc.nasa.gov/fits_registry.html):

* The public comment period on the "Multi-beam FITS"
(MBFITS) format for data taken with mm and sub-mm single-dish
telescopes nominally ends this week.

* The public comment period on the CHECKSUM keyword
convention remains open for about 2 more weeks.

* The next convention scheduled for review is OIFITS, a data
standard for optical interferometry data
(see http://www.mrao.cam.ac.uk/~jsy1001/exchange/ )
Further information about this convention will be posted at
the start of the public comment period next week.
