Default Blackout---during and after photos

Here's what the blackout looked like from my house during the night of and the
night after. If only we could have another night like that!

All I can say is ..WOW!! You would have to travel 2 hrs north of TO to get
the same visibility of structure of the milky way..sagittarius and the
center of the galaxy are plainly visible. I wonderwhat the sky was like
right in Toronto from say High Park??

Actually, you've to to go about 3 hours north to get anywhere near that kind of
clarity at the southern horizon. My inlaws live about that far north of
Toronto and fortunately I'll be moving there soon.

I had some non-astronomy friends comment on how great the sky looked from
within Toronto.


All I can say is ..WOW!! You would have to travel 2 hrs north of TO to get
the same visibility of structure of the milky way..sagittarius and the
center of the galaxy are plainly visible. I wonderwhat the sky was like
right in Toronto from say High Park??

That's one of the greatest astronomy photographs I've ever seen,
thanks so much for posting the link!

God, I hope at least a few people got some idea of what they are
missing.
