Boeing Ethics
From Reuters on 11/11/03:
"WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Boeing Co.(NYSE:BA - News), banned in July from launching government satellites for illegally acquiring a competitor's documents, on Tuesday unveiled a new internal ethics office reporting directly to company Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Phil Condit. ..... The move comes as Boeing continues to wait for the Air Force to lift its suspension of three Boeing units from government work, a move that had been expected months ago." You've got to wonder if the Air Force isn't waiting for bigger heads to roll down Boeing's HQ steps first. - Ed Kyle |

(NYSE:BA - News) In a surprising move today, Boeing announced that it would be again moving its headquarters, this time from Chicago to the city of St. Louis, MO. "I'm tired of having to root for losing sports teams" said Chief Executive Harry Stonecipher. "The Cards, Blues, and Rams beat the Cubs, Blackhawks, and Bears any day of the week. Also, Chicago's a little too fashionable for our comfort. We feel a decayed and dead urban area surrounded by congested miles of suburbs better fits the new McDonnel-Boeing." In unrelated news, Boeing announced today it would start referring to itself as Mcdonnel-Boeing Aerospace, and change its ticker symbol to MCDB. Tom Merkle |

In unrelated news, Boeing announced today it would start referring to itself as Mcdonnel-Boeing Aerospace, and change its ticker symbol to MCDB. In other news, MDDB Commercial Aircrafts Group has reorganized its products under a new product naming scheme. The new designators include the MDB-71, MDB-74, MDB-76, MDB-77, and MDB-E product lines, along with the MDB-17 military transport aircraft. Rumors abound that Airbus will be retaliating in the newly escalating product designation war, but details on their scheme are not yet publically available. An Avleak reporter did state that he'd seen staff unloading a large poster which appeared to depict what was formerly known as the A-380 product, with the letters "Personelle-38" at the bottom. But so far no confirmation of the new P-38 designation was available. -george william herbert |

Boeing Ethics
(Allen Thomson) wrote in message . com...
(ed kyle) wrote The heads are finally rolling. Long overdue. Do you think Condit's decapitation was due to the tanker/EELV ethics scandals, the FIA mess, other things(*), all of the above...? All of the above. When a company's employees, some even at the "Chief Executive" level, break Federal law on more than one occasion, that company is seriously lacking in leadership. A well-led, ethical company would compete for U.S. taxpayer money fairly by offering superior technical solutions, not through cheating, theft, and bribery. - Ed Kyle |
