Default Bogen 3033/3233 or 3046/3246 tripod with TV76 at 200x?

Would the Bogen 3033/3233 or 3046/3246 tripods be appropriate with a TeleVue
76 at magnifications of around 200x?

I'm concerned about damping time and stability of the geared center column.
Has anyone used these tripods with a telescope at high powers?

Thanks in advance...

I use a 3040 and a 3051 with a Pronto. Works for me. The question is what
sort of mount are you going to use?

I have the 3033 and it is extremely solid for a small refractor. There is a
lock-down mechanism on the center column that eliminates any flex. There are
smaller tripods that will be more than adequate. The issue is the head. I'm
using a Bogen/Manfrotto 410 geared head - certainly solid but tracking in
altaz mode at 200x can be a bit of a chore.

Alen,

I use a Bogen 3036 (now 475) and Telepod head with my TV85. I'm often
at 200x and above with no problem. I have a couple of friends who
use the 3046/3246 with TV85's so either would be fine for your TV76.
I like the ability to spread out the legs quite far on the 3036/475
which does help if some wind comes up.
