Starliner Slides Right
I've seen reports for a while now that the Boeing CST-100 Starliner
schedule has moved to the right. The predicted date for the unmanned test (like what Crew Dragon just flew) is now out in August somewhere. They'll also need to do an abort test before they can fly people. Meanwhile, SpaceX has an abort test at MaxQ they want to run before they start flying unmanned. However, the manned test flight may occur as early as June. -- "Insisting on perfect safety is for people who don't have the balls to live in the real world." -- Mary Shafer, NASA Dryden |
