Watt? He most certenlly did not do anything with theory of heat...
He could have care less about any theories of physics... He had an
Idea to build a gadget ... Just about everyone at the time called him a
Kook for such a stupid idea... He made his first version and it worked
for crap and he tinkered till he found a way to cool the steam and
throttle the power range.. He did not do this by sitting around doing
thermal dynamic calculations... He just tinkered till it worked... all
the while being called an idiot, fraud and kook by lots of people that
felt it important to the self image to put letters behind their names and
insist on being called "doc" so they can maintain that supereority complex
until Watt beat his first horse and then they jumped on his band wagon
and wanted to be his friends, to which he said " Now they want credit
for the work they condemed " .

But one big diffirence between Watt and the present day kooks on the net, is
that Watt was willing to get his hands dirty and do the work himself.
Present day kooks never try any research or experimentation, instead they
*demand* that others do it for them. Another diffirence is Watt was willing
to change his mind on what was the right answer to a problem/question. When
a design did not work he accepted the facts before him and tried a change in
his design. Internet kooks keep going over the same thing over and over
thinking if they try the same thing enough times it will be diffirent next
time.

You will also notice that unlike kooks I never make bogus claims about my
education, how smart I am, or my spelling. If I make mistakes, I make
mistakes. Kooks believe that they never can be wrong, and everything they
think is right from day one.

Kooks don't need education as much as they need to realize that they are not
smarter than everyone in the world.
