Default North Texas alert: Super bright Iridium flashes Aug. 7 and 8

For anyone in the Fort Worth TX area:

http://www.heavens-above.com predicts very bright Iridium flashes on
Saturday and Sunday evening.

Saturday Aug. 7
Mag. -8 on centerline, about 7.4 miles west of downtown Fort Worth
Centerline direction: almost due north-south
Flash direction: north to south
Time: around 9:49PM
Where in sky: 52º elevation, 94º azimuth (almost due east)

Sunday Aug. 8
Mag. -9 on centerline, about 16 miles west of downtown Fort Worth
Centerline direction: almost due north-south
Flash direction: north to south
Time: about 9:49PM again
Where in sky: 54º elevation, 97º azimuth (slightly south of due east)

Hope these cirrus clouds clear out so we can see these. Will be
interesting to see how close the predictions are.
Mike
