Motl: "Einstein may have started the rot"...what string theory is
doing is nothing else than continuing in Einstein's program of
theoretical physics, while AVOIDING ALL OF HIS KNOWN IMPERFECTIONS."

Divine Albert taught that the speed of light varied with the
gravitational potential but did not vary with the relative speed of
the light source and the observer, and in Chapter 22 in his
"Relativity" explained why this combination of variability and
invariability was not an idiocy. Motl and his brothers string
theorists agree that the combination is not an idiocy and conclude
that Einstein did not start the rot (someone else, perhaps the late
Bryan Wallace http://www.ekkehard-friebe.de/wallace.htm , must have
started it). On the other hand, brothers string theorists suspect that
Divine Albert's combination of variability and invariability, although
not an idiocy, is still an imperfection. So they always avoid it by
looking for sand, sticking their heads and exposing other parts of
their bodies.

String theorists do not avoid the imperfections of Divine Albert
anymore; rather, they have abandoned Divine Albert's both perfections
and imperfections and sing songs different from "Divine Einstein". A
few months ago string theory was still doing, in Motl's words,
"nothing else than continuing in Einstein's program of theoretical
physics"; now things are different:

http://motls.blogspot.com/2007/05/my...-einstein.html
Lubos Motl: "Is string theory a continuation of Einstein's dreams to
find a unified field theory? Well, it is certainly a continuation of
his attempts to figure out verifiable and mathematically elegant laws
that account for all forces. At this superficial level, all string
theorists are inheritors of Einstein's legacy, even the legacy of the
old misled Einstein. From a more technical perspective, however, it's
the other way around. String theory is a full-fledged quantum
mechanical theory that is fully accepting the premises that Niels Bohr
and his friends believed and that is taking the observations and the
detailed work of many careful scientists very seriously, unlike the
old Einstein. String theory surely reveals the kind of beauty and
depth that we normally associate with Einstein and his dreams but
Einstein wouldn't have been able to work on it because he didn't
appreciate quantum mechanics."

Have Motl and his brothers string theorists realized that a speed of
light that varies with the gravitational potential but does not vary
with the relative speed of the light source and the observer is an
idiocy? Perhaps not - string theorists are among zombies in Einstein
criminal cult. However they feel the old money-spinner called
Einstein's relativity is not working anymore and transport themselves
where money, careers etc. are still available.

Ptolemy started the rot.
The most recent accusations of forgery made against Ptolemy came from Newton
in [12]. He begins this book by stating clearly his views:-

This is the story of a scientific crime. ... I mean a crime committed by a
scientist against fellow scientists and scholars, a betrayal of the ethics
and integrity of his profession that has forever deprived mankind of
fundamental information about an important area of astronomy and history.

Towards the end Newton, having claimed to prove every observation claimed by
Ptolemy in the Almagest was fabricated, writes [12]:-

[Ptolemy] developed certain astronomical theories and discovered that they
were not consistent with observation. Instead of abandoning the theories, he
deliberately fabricated observations from the theories so that he could
claim that the observations prove the validity of his theories. In every
scientific or scholarly setting known, this practice is called fraud, and it
is a crime against science and scholarship.
http://www-groups.dcs.st-and.ac.uk/~...s/Ptolemy.html

John Goodricke continued the rot in 1782, but he was just an 18-year-old kid
and an amateur with a wooden telescope.

DeSitter encouraged the rot.

Stars do not blow up twice in 2 months.

Humpty Roberts should heed his own admonition and STUDY,
but... "I am not an astronomer" - Humpty Roberts.

Humpty Roberts, Carlip and Baez rot.
