You right wingers are always bleating in about rights.

No rights here.

Whoever sets up the colonies or captures the steroids will keep them.

Good. That's how it should be. Not dictated by a group of scumbag,
lazy, useless SOCIALISTS who want to figure out a way of exacting tribute
for DOING NO WORK.

No need to SHOUT. Are you just a little bit bothered by the fact that it
will probably be the Russians, Chinese, Indians or Japanese who set up
lunar colonies?
All but Japan have nuclear weapons and Japan could probably make Nuclear
weapons in a few weeks if necessary.
So nobody will pick a fight.

So stop whining about "socialist scroungers" as if you actually believe it.

The US is the biggest scrounger/waster on the entire planet by a HUGE margin!

Unless the present invasion "by illegal aliens" actually changes the physical/mental complexion of the US nothing will ever improve.

Then move to Pluto, you socialist imbecile! If "they" will let you. Your God, the UN.

Space belongs to those who have the drive to colonize/take it. Not some disgusting regulatory body whose members that lives off the earnings of others, the UN.

Just stake a claim.

How would you feel if an alien race did exactly the same
to the present, backward whiteskin savages of the USA?

I'd make a deal with them, and you losers can be my slaves.

Look at the history/
The space treaty was at the request of a republican president who was
worried that the USSR would claim the moon.

Wasn't Kennedy the president who called for the US to land a man on
the moon? I could be wrong but I always thought Kennedy was a
democrat.

Eisenhower pressed for the space treaty.
Liberal democrats Kennedy and Johnson set up Apollo.Ready for a republican
president to watch the moon landing and then cancel the Apollo program.

It is true that there is the longshot chance that a Martian microbe might hold
the key to a cure for cancer. But there is nothing on Mars with rights. Or it
would have invaded us already.

A democrat would afford a bacterium equal rights. Kindred that they are.

It's completely meaningless because there's no way to defend such a
claim. I can claim ownership of the sun but it'd be pointless.

If anybody can establish a colonial military presence on the moon that
has the credible ability to defend the moon from any encroachment, they
will own the moon regardless of what any court on Earth says. Until
that happens it is just a bunch of hot air.

Seeing as how there is no existing technology for getting a human
beyond LEO it's pointless to even thing about.
