Sh2-84 - Dim emission nebula in Sge
Dear group,
Here is a result from a few weeks ago which I just finished processing. Sh2-84 is a dim emission nebula which lies at a distance of 16,300 light-years away and spans another 71 light-yrs across. It lies in a particularly rich star field in Sge which makes processing somewhat challenging. Although it has been associated with WR 128, there is some doubt if the two are physically related or not. For a hybrid result based on three hours total data (LHaRGB), please see http://www.perseus.gr/Astro-DSO-Nebulae-Sh2-84.htm . There is not very much information available on Sh2-84 and there also seems to be a lack of images of it as well. Anthony. |

This guy is a real stinker visually, you need a perfect night and a big telescope... but it is doable, if you are patient. \Paul A |

Very few people use it and probably even fewer are aware of it! I will update my webpage accordingly so as to help in whatever way possible with its usage. Anthony. |
