ESA replies: "Why, we did this experiment many years ago on Mir...and,
in fact, throughout all of France for centuries before that.
Considering the extraordinary standard of hygiene that Japan
traditionally embraces, this guy may have to undergo some sort of
involved purification rite before being allowed to return to his homeland.
Frankly, I suspect he may have to spend a month on Monster Island, where
even Hedorah The Smog Monster will shun him. :-)

1) Russian ISS astronaut takes time off from busy schedule to
take photos of former homeland.

2) JAXA airs ISS dirty laundry.

3) NASA announces COTS partnership with Celestis.
Self-funded mortuary module to dock with ISS in 2015.
