Default Great customizable site for daily astro phenomena

I have just stumbled onto this site. After providing your location, it
generates daily info for your site, similar to the monthly predictions
found in the Astro magazines.

There are pages for the Moon, Messier objects, Jovian moons, etc.

http://www.astronomydaily.com

Example (for Pretoria, South Africa)

Tue 6 Apr 3:00 AM
The Moon is 3.6° north-northeast of the first magnitude star Spica, ?
(alpha) Virginis.

Tue 6 Apr 6:54 AM
A double shadow transit of Jupiter's Galilean moons begins.

Tue 6 Apr 11:00 PM
Mercury is stationary in right ascension -- retrograde (western) motion
commences.

Wed 7 Apr 7:06 AM
The Moon is at the descending node (ecliptic longitude 221.3°).

Wed 7 Apr 9:00 PM
Minimum lunar libration of 1.6°.

Thu 8 Apr 12:57 AM
For 56 minutes, only one of Jupiter's Galilean satellites - Callisto -
is visible.

Thu 8 Apr 4:00 AM
The Moon is at perigee, subtending an angular size of 32' 47" from a
distance of 364,547 km (226,519 miles).

Fri 9 Apr 6:00 AM
The Moon is 2.1° north of the first magnitude star Antares, ? (alpha)
Scorpii.

Fri 9 Apr 8:13 PM
A double shadow transit of Jupiter's Galilean moons begins.

Sun 11 Apr 2:23 PM
A double shadow transit of Jupiter's Galilean moons begins.

Mon 12 Apr 5:46 AM
Last Quarter Moon.

Mon 12 Apr 4:00 PM
Venus is at greatest heliocentric latitude

You get it? ;-)

Default Great customizable site for daily astro phenomena

It's a great site for general astronomy info. I check it out several time a
week to see what I might be missing.

Clear skies,
