Astro: M 97
The 09/10 rainy season in Central California has been less than kind
to astrophotography. It started a month early and seems to want to continue into May. I read someplace that on a clear dry night the astronomer is still observing/imaging through 30 gallons of water. Since mid Septermber 2009, I've been imaging from the bottom of a swimming pool. This image of M 97 was taken during the only brief period of above average seeing/transparency since last September. The detail in MCG +09-19-014 is amazing with the star right on top of it as well. Very nicely done! I wish I had your seeing. Rick -- Correct domain name is arvig and it is net not com. Prefix is correct. Third character is a zero rather than a capital "Oh". |

No SBIG cameras perform well in that heat! |

Glen,
great image. The small galaxy to the right shows how good the detail is. Stefan "Glen Youman" schrieb im Newsbeitrag ...
