TT Sorry if I seemed a little harsh, but these messages are often sent just to wind people up and disrupt the normal discussions in the NGs they post to. Recommended practice is either to ignore them or report them privately to their ISP. Regards, Roger |

Perhaps if someone had explained that 'recommendation' to me in advance I would have done that. It took some time to locate the source and I had hoped others might duplicate the report to ensure some action against these blighters. I shan't bother again in future and won't rattle anyone that way. My apologies. |

Depending on how you access these messages you may be able to "killfile" any poster and if you can do this you are only troubled by their first message - unless, like some of them with even less in their lives than the normal troll, they repeatedly change their identity. Best regards, Roger |

I have only seen it because you were stupid enough to re-post it. You are the second person to tackle me over my attempt to highlight a spam problem and solicit help in dealing with it. The first complainant was not such a rude ******* as you, sir. I will not bother to repeat my earlier reply for your edification therefore as I don't consider bumptious arses like you worth talking to. You can see it further down this thread if you can be bothered to get down off your high horse for a few seconds. |
