Flying to ISS is rapidly becoming the newest status symbol among those
with too much time and money on their hands.

You say that as if it's a bad thing....

It's far preferable to the other 'fashion' of going to Africa to
grab yourself a kid.

I've got too much time - if only I had too much money. :-)

This is a good thing. With the Russians reportedly now charging between $20
and $25 million per flight, it would seem that supply and demand is working
as it should in this capitalistic venture.

It's a shame that they tend to be reciprocal, yeah...

This is a good thing.

How exactly?

With the Russians reportedly now charging between $20 and $25 million per
flight, it would seem that supply and demand is working as it should in this
capitalistic venture.

Which has precisely what to do with the topic of discussion?

That 'fashion' has been around a while, only the continent of choice
differs.

These people continue to demonstrate (for those who may have had
doubts) that there's a market for orbital tourism, even at $20 million+
US, per seat. It's reasonable to assume that a greater market exists at
lower prices, when lower launch costs can be acheived.

With the Russians reportedly now charging between $20 and $25 million per
flight, it would seem that supply and demand is working as it should in this
capitalistic venture.

Simonyi will, it appears, be the next person to avail himself of
this service, thus continuing to show that there *is* a market for
orbital space tourism, and therefore, a market worthy of further
development...
