Additions at Oberg's Home Page
Several recent articles of mine on space topics have been added to my home page at www.jamesoberg.com, for your amusement.... This story from last week contains two items so far not picked up in any other news story: the space station was pushed off attitude by sublimating water from the Russian space suits, and the loss of communications was the result of a stupid software flaw that should never have gone undetected. Spacewalkers cope with phantom menace http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/5592615 Another 'scoop' so far overlooked by other news reports: Russians Scramble to Fill Third Soyuz Seat (in October) http://msnbc.msn.com/id/5480996/ Personal account: SpaceShipOne reaches outer space http://www.jamesoberg.com/082004spaceshipone_pol.html Amazing story, poorly advertised: The Unsung Success of ISS Telescience (Spaceflight, Aug 2004) http://www.jamesoberg.com/082004unsung_sta.html and http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/5173973/ Strategy for Converting ISS into 'Space Hotel' (unpublished backgrounder for 'Popular Science' cover story, May 2004) http://www.jamesoberg.com/052004iss_pol.html Secret Ingedient in the Case for Manned Moon Flight http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/5380736/ My 'Skeptical Inquirer' story on "Lessons of the 'Fake Moon Flight' Myth" http://www.jamesoberg.com/042003lessonsfake_his.html |

Personal account: SpaceShipOne reaches outer space http://www.jamesoberg.com/082004spaceshipone_pol.html Great article.
