Took my time and did a good job. Calvin might not remember me,but anything made by hand and done with love can never be thrown away. Yeah, my grandfather made some wooden train cars, and I kept them most of my life. Have taken picture and put them on the internet. They are perfectly scaled. Stage coach has curtains. So you intend to bury his inheritance somewhere, and he has to go dig it up when he turns 18? A Freudian 69F here at 12:25 PM PDT. Sunday hours. Wind W at 6 mph. Humidity 57%. Supposed to be a sunny afternoon, but was cloudy all morning. Just saw Venus and Jupiter around 4 AM, and then the clouds got too thick. Forecast high 79F, low 54F. Not too cold to sleep in a chair outside Starbucks this morning. I walked over to Home Depot yesterday. It's just a block and a half from Cedar Mills Safeway, but out of sight. I was surprised that their prices are still low! Could get a small BBQ for $11. I remember once I needed a plumbing part. Ace Hardware wanted $5. Check at Fred Meyer's, a variety store, where they wanted $2. Then I went to Home Depot and got it for 99 cents! When we remodelled my wife's gift shop location, we got everything we needed for the job at Home Depot. Double-A |

Then a copy was made of it, and the original with the White Out was fed to their shredder! These loans were then budled into mortgage based securities and sold off to the Wqall Street suckers! When Bank of America bought Countywide, they didn't want to know about these irregulatities and fired the auditor! Amazingly, some of the suckers included Lehman Brothers and other major investment banks! The subsequent collapse of these securities brought down Lehman Bros., and would have brought down more of the largest investment banks if not for the massive government bailout! Maybe you could by up some of those mortgage backed securities for pennies on the dollar and put them in Calvin's chest. Who knows, holders of worthless bonds usually sue, and someday might get something out of them! Then Calvin might have a real treasure! The whistle blower sued for wrongful termination, and got a cool million! Double-A |

For the sunny month of August I got a bright yellow August bus pass!
Currently cloudy skies bring in the sunshine month. 61F here at 10:15 AM PDT. Wind SE at 5 mph. Humidity 72 %. Morning clouds,. Forecast is for sunny, high 81F, low 52F. Weathermen are predicting the first day here over 90F on Saturday! Been extremely cool for summer. Oregon is the land global warming forgot! On the way up here another guy who rides up here regularly and I were discussing how smart some of the "mentally challenged" people we know seem to be. But I guess that makes sense. They are the ones getting all the government benefits and discounted rent and bus passes! We haven't been smart enough to be able to figure out how to get those things yet! I hear some of the badminton teams iin the Olympics have been throwing some of their first round matches so they can get more desirable placement in the final round matches. Talk about smart! But I guess now some have been disqualified. Was purposely throwing a match in the rules to begin with, or is that a rule the judges just made up after it happened? Sounds like the kind of thing that happens to me. I do something that somebody doesn't like, and they tell me I can't do it, when I never heard anything about such a rule to begin with! Double-A |

It's set up wrong. In pro sports the #1 seed play the #6 and so on. And incentive to win. "Give ups" are quite common and aceeptable in many sports. In one game I saw a football team drop it's defenses and allow its opponant to run in a touchdown to keep thier opponant from running all the time off the clock and then winning the game by kicking a chip shot field goal. If purposely loosing a match improves their chances of a gold, I can't see what the problem with it is as a strategy. Sunny here but a cool 57F under mostly clear skies. Wind calm. Humidity 74%. Forecast is for a chance of rain with high 79F, low 55F. No sign of rain as yet. Warmer as we move into the weekend. Double-A |
