Unguided tracking of Mars @ 488X for 25 minutes
Unguided tracking of Mars @ ~488X for 25 minutes...
That's how long it stayed in my eyepiece before I had to punch the hand-controller.... FYI , Ultima 5mm with same brand 2X Barlow 8"F-6 Starfinder Newt...) That is the latest test result I pulled from my newly re-engineered LXD500B GP mount with a Autostar Goto kit (and about 100hrs of labor.but a labor of love! ugh )...I might add the mount is some what overloaded with a ~22Lbs optical payload.. , I think it should more properly be rated at about 16-18lbs payload.. Any thoughts on the tracking accuracy for the first time out? Good , bad , Ugly? Thanks and of course, Cleardarkskies! Orion --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free.
