BTW, you ought to take that cute little psychological profile of the
"kooks" and paste it on yer mirror.

I must confess I do find this article particularly cute. I will repost it
again for the benefit of those who may have missed it earlier ...

.... I'm not the one claiming to know the *actual* mechanism of gravity.

When anyone tries to present the natural extension/ expansion of the old
model, there arises the obligatory Pavlovian squawks and howls from the
Zinnies, OGGYs and Scotties of the peanut gallery. It comes with the
territory.
Hey, you all are obviously content, unwavering devotees of
your "Void" with its retinue of 'magical messengers', Sky Pixies, and
geodesics that crush massive stars into BHs. That is your avowed
religion. And no amount of reason or logic is going to change it. There
is really no point in discussing the matter further.
I shall exit the thread at this point. Enjoy your
fantasy. Live long and prosper. oc

Hi oc Thank you for explaining that to Dave. Another reason for a BH
having a positive charge is quarks have a positive charge, and I read in
a few books }blackholes could be called quark stars. Electons can be
striped away from atoms, but not the nuclei, and that is composed of
positive quarks. Bert

So if I have an uncharged black hole, then fire electrons at it, it'll
become positive?
If I recall correctly, half the quark types are positive & half negative.
Nuclei are not composed solely of positive quarks.
