Is there a formula for sunrise and sunset times at a given date at a
given latitude and longitude?

Ian Smith, Renfrew, Scotland.

If you can work with BASIC code, download the file SUNUP.BAS form the list
on this Sky&Tel webpage

Thank you for that, Martin. I have done some BASIC before and will pick
at that one to deduce the original mathematical formula on which it is
based. Would like to make up spreadsheet based on formula, with some slider
bars to mess around with the variables. I like doing that kind of stuff.
Definately beats watching the TV!

cheers,

Ian
