The Titius-Bode law and a quantum-like description of the planetary
systems
Authors: Fabio Scardigli /find/gr-qc/1/au:+Scardigli_F/0/1/0/all/

(Submitted on 11 Jul 2005 (v1 /abs/gr-qc/0507046v1), revised 30 Mar
2006 (this version, v2), latest version 25 Nov 2007 (v3 /abs/gr-qc/

Abstract: The Titius-Bode law for planetary distances is reviewed. A
model describing the basic features of this law in the "quantum-like"
language of a wave equation is proposed. Some considerations about the
't Hooft idea on the quantum behaviour of deterministic systems with
dissipation are discussed.

corrected, and some references added

--- end quoting some Google hits of where AP discussed
the ideas of Titius Bode Rule as QM ---

I am getting more than just a little peeved over the idea that people
do not reference the Internet science newsgroups as to
where original ideas came from.

The idea that the Titius-Bode Rule is a Balmer or Rydberg
geometric progression in the Cosmic Solar System dates back
to 1996 with Archimedes Plutonium. I do not see Mr. Scardigli
referencing the posts of Archimedes Plutonium.

This is not the first instance of a "taking without attribute" from
the Internet. There was a case involving some California doctor
who published in a journal saying almost the identical words I
used in describing Stonethrowing theory as the mainspring of
human evolution.

And there is the clearcut case of the Dalai Lama using
"Universe in an Atom" for one of his books without so much
as a reference note to AP.

Somewhere along the line, people are going to have to realize that the
Internet has to be taken seriously as to the "proper referencing and
credit for new ideas".
