In Santa Rosa, California, about 40 miles to the north of me: not close
by. I'm connected by DSL provided by the gargantuan phone company. I use
them (Sonic) because they're damn good. But even if the location was
revealed by their address (which they aren't), I know that they have
customers far away -- one who used their service in Texas, about a
thousand miles away. There are phone POP providers who deliver a large
network of local phone numbers at a pretty low cost. So, you can't
really know where someone's coming at you from.

I can know that they're coming at me from USENET, which according to
Ross, isn't in "RL". I still don't know of any first-class orchestras
in his fantasy land.

What does your first class kookrant have to do with classical music,
