ANN: Beta version Deepsky Imaging Available

Deepsky Imaging Beta - Video Capture Software to support Mallincam and
Stellacam


Anyone interested in my beta imaging software can download it now.

You can download the beta that includes video capture support from

1) This beta will expire on 2/15/09.

2) Existing beta users should uninstall completely the beta they have
installed via add/remove programs. Then delete the Deepsky Imaging
folder under c:\Program Files before using this beta.

3) Please review the user manual in PDF format after you install the
beta. Users testing capture should read pages 33 through 39 first.

4) This is the first beta with video capture support. It has NOT been
thouroughly tested - that's what this beta is for. You should be able
to hook your camera up to your PC inside and play with it even though
you won't be focused on a deep sky object. I've gotten the Stellacam
III to work with it but I dont have a Mallincam, so I am eager to
learn
if it will work with it too. It should work.

5)Please Please Please email me and the group and let me know how the
beta works, good or bad, especially the capture portion.
