"frequents", although why our names should be in his address book when
he's not in direct contact with us is a question only he can answer.

I guessed it was him from the list of addresses, many of which were
Italian or other European domains.

Presumably he's now got some virus protection software running, since
it seems to have stopped.

I received close to a hundred e-mails in the last 48 hours
obviously containing worms or viruses or something. I didn't
check them to find out what they were. The "from" addresses
were mostly unfamiliar, but some were posters here in sci.astro.

I also received about 20 e-mails telling me that e-mails I
had supposedly sent to various people I never heard of were
undeliverable. The e-mails I had supposedly sent all contained
the worm/virus.

Obviously the worm/virus takes e-mail addresses from newsgroups
and mails itself to other e-mail addresses in newsgroups. The
worm/virus probably just took Pietro's address from a message
header, and your address from another message header, and used
his in the "from" field and yours in the "to" field. So Pietro
almost certainly had nothing to do with it. Pietro did not
necessarily get the worm/virus, and it is impossible for my
computer to get such a worm or virus, even if I downloaded it
from my e-mail provider.

On the other hand, it appears that Pietro *did* send spamlike
e-mails on July 25th. I received four copies of an e-mail with
a fake "from" address (belonging to a trustworthy poster in
sci.astro), containing a link to an Italian-language website on
the subject of Pietroburgo (St. Petersburg), Russia. This was
just a few days before Pietro resumed posting, and said that he
was now in Milan (after previously being in Brooklyn).

I guess that the person that send to me 300 E.mail every day has
afraid of aliens...or maby the zetas are upset with me (right) anyway

Really? I hope not.

I started to complain to his provider. I know he has taken up stalking me,
but checking out of groups where I have posted.

I suspect Pietro is a sick little ****. Pardon my language but I have run
into his sort before. Jay Stevens has also done the same thing in the past,
mailed virus to people that posted articles he didn't like.

No fooling. I got bombarded with dozens of mails. The fact it used my ELN
addy as the From: line is puzzling. I know it was Pietro because I got the
IP addy off the headers of the virus he sent me.

I was trying to figure that out too. He uses Google to post from so the
addresses should be in his MS address book. Curious, isn't it.

The 62.101.64.106 is the same IP he uses to post from Google.

I certainly hope so. That address got hit with 45 virus attachments in 12
hours. and nearly 35 rejection messages or warnings about sending info with
virus.

ELN even sent me a message someone complained about me sending virus
attachments, and It wasn't until I pointed out the IP addresses it dawn on
them is the joejob.
