Which CCD camera
I recently purchased a Celestron 11inch GPS telescope and I am now looking
for a good CCD camera for a reasonable price.I checked out a few sites that were selling the Starlight Xpress MX5.However they say it's "ideally suited for use with small lenses and telescopes".Does this mean that it's not suitable for larger telescopes and if so,why?. Many thanks, Gary |

Which CCD camera
I use an MX5 with my 20 cm F10 SCT. The major challenge is indeed that
with the long f.l. at this f# you need a good mount and/or autoguider. It does work nicely (with Barlow for f# = 20) for images of Saturn and Jupiter. I got some reasonable images of M57 recently too. I suggest very strongly that you use a program such as AstroArt to drive the CCD however - I found it really hard work using program that Starlight supplied.
