One man's "stupidity" is another man's opinion and political viewpoint. No one of any sense believes that "Big Oil feels it is allowed to do wherever it can pump oil in the name of "national security?" has anything to do with inalienable rights. I seem to remember that the phrase "certain inalienable rights" came after the phrase "all men"- not "all Americans" or "all Americans with any sense" or "all Americans that aren't stupid". Big oil helps keep corrupt governments in power in countries who have oil that they want, most people in the United States have some suspicion of that fact; the people in the countries with those governments have evidence of it on a daily basis. Such a comments betrays a tragic ignorance of what the phrase means. I'm all confused about that life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness stuff too...maybe you could clue me in with a carefully worded short sentence. I suffer from a basic lack of education on the subject, having only a BA in History/Political Science. You fit in very well with the monolithic "we" of Fox's America. I'll take that as a compliment. Well, that makes a majority of one. Pat |

In article ,

Then you'd be even more concise than Derek. :-) -- Kevin Willoughby lid Imagine that, a FROG ON-OFF switch, hardly the work for test pilots. -- Mike Collins |
