number of S-IVB ullage motors
I think this has been discussed before, but the famous onboard film of
an S-IVB pulling away is said to have been from Apollo 6. It shows the S-IVB having three ullage motors. However, I thought that the S-IB version had 3 ullage motors and the Saturn V version had only 2 ullage motors. What is correct? -- Replace you know what by j to email |

The footage is really from one of the S-IB flights (too lazy to look up which one, someone else will step in...). It is often juxtaposed with the footage of S-II separation from S-IC on one of the Saturn V flights (see previous parenthetical) so the meme got established that the S-IVB footage was from a Saturn V flight as well. |
