(WARNING: Actual space content) Does anybody know the status of the Delta IV launch scheduled for today? The main NASA site is mum.

"Scott Ferrin" wrote in message ... No new date set yet. Bookmark "spaceflightnow.com", it's great - a better source than the 45th Space Wing site I get on intranet at work. This should be a great launch. Hopefully it'll go this week (so I can see it from KSC |

Uh, why would you check a NASA site for information about a Boeing rocket with a USAF payload being launched from a USAF launch site? I don't immediately see any NASA connection to this launch at all. -- "Think outside the box -- the box isn't our friend." | Henry Spencer -- George Herbert | |

SLC-37B, Cape Canaveral, Florida (When did SLC-37B become a strictly
USAF site?) Complex 37 is on Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, but I'm not sure who actually owns it now (NASA used to). The SLC 37 Horizontal Integration Facility is owned by Florida Spaceport Authority, as is all of SLC 41 - the Atlas V pad. Irregardless, NASA-TV usually only shows NASA mission launches - even if they are launched from DoD property - and DoD range resources are used to support NASA shuttle launches, etc. The Delta IV Heavy launch is funded by DoD. There will be a Boeing web feed of the launch. - Ed Kyle |
