Default Mars destroyed

What are the chances that mars was a blue planet hundreds of thousands of
years ago with a thriving advanced civilization. But they became so radio
and laser noisey that some aliens from another part of the galaxy came by
and blasted them to oblivion with planet killer weapons.

What are the odds that someone has been taking in too much science

I don't think their whole civilization got destroyed. The whole race moved
under the surface of the planet into catacombs and they are still thriving
there.

Replace "aliens" with "demons" and I think you'll have it right.

What has this nonsense go to do with sci.space.history? You _did_ look
at the group you were posting to, to see what it was about?

No, it was Marvin trying to develop his explosive space
modulator. He was too successful; his experiments in
his lab took out his entire civilization.

Chances are small Rodney, but no-one knows the full history of Mars...

Ask Brad Guth how Venus cloned itself, but the clone lost its atmosphere and
became Mars.
