"wijsneus" wrote in message ... "west" wrote in message ... If you could only subscribe to one, which would it be and why? Sky & Telescope or Astronomy. I'm college educated, if that means anything. Thank you. Cordially, west I am not subscribed to S&T or Astronomy, I buy them regularly though. for example: the jan 2004 issue of Astronomy is an excellent issue, with many interesing articles, I tend to read every article and in my opinion both mags are excellent. Which one I buy depends on the contents of that issue. I agree with others in this thread, that S&T is slightly more technical. The problem with both mags is of course that all ads in the mag mention prizes of scopes that are not relevant to the prizes in my country (the netherlands), dutch prizes are about twice as much as US prizes :-( Sky and Telescope is coming out with a new bi-monthly magazine called Night Sky. It is designed for the amatuer backyard astonomer. The first issue will be May/June. I think this is a great idea for people who love to observe but do not want all the technical data. |
