Default Software for Astronomical Chart of Celestial Objects

I am an amateur astronomer from India. What I want to know is :

Is there any software which will plot graphically the different celestial
objects of night sky, based on location (latitude & longitude) of the
observer, and which will plot the 'Altitude' & 'Azimuth' (in Altazimuth
System) of different celestial objects dynamically with respect to the
Local time of the observer's place.

Please help

Regards
Sanjoy

As others have recommended, try Cartes du Ciel. This is a top quality

program
that is competitive with the commercial programs available.

It offers large databases of all types of objects, stars, double stars,
variable stars, and of course Deep Space Objects. You can customize the

look
so that it suits your needed. It has nice photo-graphical representations

of
the planets as well as tracking Jupiter's moons. I will create AVI and

Gif
animations of various events.....

There are others but IMHO, this is the best.

nicely, linux and windows versions available, free too ;-)
