Default The dangers of gravity research conferences

I heard by e-mail this morning from one of the participants in the
conference at Ioannina, Greece (Recent Developments in Gravity, 8-11 June)
that the conference excursion bus was in a rear-end collision with a truck.
They were on their way to (or returning from) a trip to the beach when this
happened. Apparently the participants were not seriously injured, but the
bus driver is in serious condition.

The conference continues.

Topics are Cosmology (Dark Energy, Dark Matter, CMB, etc); Gravitational
Waves; Alternative Theories of Gravity; Relativistic Astrophysics;
Mathematical Relativity; Quantum Gravity.
