http://www.ludiver.com/lune2/page_01.htm explains how it was done. The
mirror is approximately 23.inches in diameter and the focal length is
96,000mm. It says that the pictures were taken with Toucam on Cassegrain
telescope and the resulting images were reconstructed with 400 -700
individual pictures with the aid of photoshop, which sounds like a jigsaw
puzzle to me.

ninety six metres focal length? That makes it F190. Quite slow... =:-0

(misplaced decimal possibly... :-) )

European usage has "," as the decimal seperator, but then its 96mm
focal length !?

I see he also mixes inches with mm, make one suspect he works
for NASA ;o)

Sorry, it was 9,600 mm that is 9.6 meter.
Apology again.

It was simple math mistake on my part. My apology.

I roughly compared his pictures with some others already taken by others. He
said that the the reconstruction method he used is already known with
Photoshop but it doesn't seem 100% accurate to me.

Apology again.
