Indeed, it does rather look as if Sir Patrick is being phased out doesn't

After all, the last time there was an out-and-about, Sir Patrick was walking
with 2 sticks. The time before that that I recall was when they were down
a mine, watching particles pass through big tanks. Or not. But we live
in hope. We never saw how Sir Patrick got down there, or saw him
walking/standing but he was in a comfy chair for the interview.
