Default Nikon Vs Fuji for astro work ?

David,

See the following:
http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/read..._finepixs602zp
ro

and
http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/read...y=nikon_cp5700

I think that the Nikon is more popular.... I have no experience
with either though. Myself, I'm using a Minolta Dimage 7, great
camera, no gripes against it so far.

A choice has recently presented itself for my choice of new camera :

Fuji S602 Pro or Nikon Coolpix 5700.

Comments from any users of either greatly appreciated.

Doing a side by side comparison at www.dpreview.com shows the following
differences: The Nikon has more pixels, a greater zoom range, a longer
max shutter (Olympus goes to 3s, Nikon goes to 8s and has a "bulb"
mode), a remote control option, a "raw" uncompressed format and weighs
slightly less.

I know which I'd go for. I bought a Nikon 4500 a few weeks ago.
