Default Martian Rocks

We are told all those rocks on Mars surface are from meteorite impacts.
Here on Earth rocks came mostly from the movement of ice.(ice ages) Ice
is very heavy. Most of the earth's fresh water lakes(Great Lakes) had to
come from this ice. You can easily see where the ice age ice ended.
Here in Florida almost no small rocks. Sand like the sand you can find
on the ocean floor. That is why I have posted if you excavate down say
6 to 8 feet down in Florida, and find a rock,it is like finding a rock in
the ice of the south pole. How much is a meteorite worth? If you work
hard, and find the right spot to dig you could be a millionaire. Its a
lot better to look for meteorites in Florida than going to the South
Pole. Bert

Most probably are ejecta from impacts, but some are also produced via
other weathering processes.

Some may have, but have you ever heard of rain? Have you ever heard of
rivers? Have you ever heard of floods? Have you ever heard of ground
water springs? All of these can produce a lake.

David you left out bevers.\,and the impact of large comets. Still a
wall of ice 2 miles high can with its weight create a great impression
of ground(yes) Bert

Does anyone know what is the source for BERT's statement that
most of earth's fresh water lakes (Great Lakes) "had to come from
this ice"?
Is there any source, at all?
IN THE SAME VEIN, what is the source for his comment that "all
those rocks on Mars surface are from meteorite impacts"????
Is there any source, at all?
Any references?

Yes David I left out the "A" and you are right. I hate when
my bad careless spelling is in google. How long are my posts kept in
google? Bert
