NASA SCHEDULES SPACE SHUTTLE RETURN-TO-FLIGHT BRIEFING

The latest version of "NASA's Implementation Plan for
Space Shuttle Return to Flight and Beyond" will be released
Monday morning, and the agency has scheduled a news
conference in the afternoon.

The updated plan will be available Monday at 9 a.m. EST on
line at:

http://www.nasa.gov/returntoflight

The news briefing will be live on NASA TV at 2 p.m. EST from
NASA's Johnson Space Center, Houston. Reporters will be able
to ask questions at participating NASA centers.

The plan and the media briefing will outline NASA's progress
in safely returning Space Shuttles to flight. The briefing
also will focus on progress in Shuttle processing, testing
and training. Briefing participants:

- Bill Parsons, Space Shuttle program manager
- Wayne Hale, deputy Space Shuttle program manager
- John Casper, manager, Space Shuttle Management
Integration and Planning

Video highlights of NASA's Shuttle-Return-to-Flight work
during the past year will accompany the briefing and air on
the NASA TV Video File starting Monday at noon EST.

NASA TV is available via satellite in the continental U.S. on
AMC-6, Transponder 9C, C-Band, at 72 degrees west longitude.
The frequency is 3880.0 MHz. Polarization is vertical, and
audio is monaural at 6.80 MHz. In Alaska and Hawaii, NASA TV
is available on AMC-7, Transponder 18C, C-Band, at 137
degrees west longitude. The frequency is 4060.0 MHz.
Polarization is vertical, and audio is monaural at 6.80 MHz.

The news briefing will be broadcast live on the Internet at:
