Default [AD]: Precision GPS Video Time Inserter

Astronomers involved in the precise timing of astronomical events
on video will find the precision GPS video time inserter available at
http://www.STV5730A.co.uk of interest. Unlike conventional video time and
date generators which base their time on an internal oscillator this unit
uses the precision one pulse per second (1PPS) timebase from a Garmin GPS16
receiver to drive its display. In addition to the usual display of
time and date each video frame is time stamped with the time in
milliseconds since the last second. In this way each video frame can be
easily referenced to the UTC time generated by the GPS receiver.
