Default display problems with StarryNight

I really should call their support...but I try to save that as last
resorts. =)
My StarryNight 5 has an odd display problem, in the tool bar where zoom
and the time and azimuth, etc are displayed, it doesn't refresh. That
is, every time a character changes, the previous characters remain
displayed. So, azimuth will start out legible, but then as it changes
it becomes a garbled mess as numbers are printed on top of each other.
(And in fact, even parts of my Windows desktop can still be seen on
it.)

I tried turning off OpenGL, but no change.
I have ample memory. 512MB RAM and a Radeon 9600 XT video card with
128MB of RAM.

I can't find anything in the documentation to deal with it.
I've used the program updater.
Any ideas?
Thanks!
Liam

That could actually be a function of the program. I used to have one that
would keep the data from previous time skips. If the moving the mouse around
doesn't have any effect, the mouse doesn't lock up or skip, and/or the
screen is still legible in that you can still read the words even though
theres is overlap, it is likely the program itself and not the Video Card. I
hate to say it, but you may have to call tech support. First, however, I'd
do a search on google for the same problem. Good Luck.

Tom
