Anyone who really knows firearms has been shooting them since childhood. It's like learning to use anything.

The real problem isn't the honest, competent people (not that they
don't cause problems, as well, however).

No kidding. Tell that to the P.C. left-libs trying to ban guns. It's like trying to ban all cars because 18 year old males drive poorly. One specific, socio-economic group of THUGS is responsible for 90% of the gun violence. If they didn't exist, the U.S. would have gun crimes levels like a Nordic country even with 300 million guns in the U.S.

Rich, no PC left libs are trying to outright ban guns here in the U.S. By the way, what are your gun rights in Canada where you reside? Maybe you should be fighting those regs if you think all regs are bad.

peterson IS a PC left-lib.

Don't go confusing ****-head peterson with facts, he's ditzy enough already.

You are wrong, poison:

(The above is not an isolated case either.)

Now, GFO.

This is true enough, but because *real* facists are fairly rare in the U.S.,
there is no real prospect of it embarking on a final solution to its Negro
problem.

Hence, compromising the Second Amendment is perceived as an egalitarian way of
dealing with the crime problem. Of course, it's totally ineffective at getting
guns out of the hands of drug traffickers...

but since today, unlike in the 18th and 19th centuries, we ask our police to
deal with *domestic violence* complaints, it's not surprising that they're
supportive of disarming the general usually law-abiding population.

I think that police do have a right to live to reach retirement age; but I
would also like it to be hard for the police and military to bring a dictator
into power. Whatever you might say about the NRA, remember the proverb:
paranoids do have enemies too.

I'm not aware of any significant movement in the U.S. to ban guns.
That's a fringe position at most.

Banning guns inside certain city boundaries isn't banning guns in
general, and the opinions of the residents of one small city are not
representative of the nation as a whole.

Again, there is no significant movement in the U.S. to ban guns.

Irrelevant.

Washington, DC is not a small city. It is 22nd largest in the nation.

Again, there is no significant movement in the U.S. to ban guns.

(says 82% of Demonrats want stricter control.)

That's debatable

All sane, sensible people want more gun control, even the majority of
Republicans. There's a massive difference between enforcing sensible
regulations and banning guns.

If your children are internet users, set them up on an online auctionsite to bid on the clothes that they want within a pre-set budget. While thereis a downside of not being able to try the clothes on, this is a fun way toshop for your children. Onli [email protected] Amateur Astronomy 0 April 20th 08 10:33 AM
