NASA ANNOUNCES LIVE COVERAGE OF SPACE STATION DOCKING

NASA Television will broadcast the arrival of the next
Russian resupply vehicle to the International Space Station
on Jan. 31 beginning at 7:30 a.m. EST. The Progress
spacecraft is scheduled to dock with the Station at
approximately 8:18 a.m. EST.

This Progress is the 13th spacecraft to resupply the Space
Station. Equipped with 2.5 tons of food, fuel and supplies,
the Progress is scheduled to launch from the Baikonur
Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan at 6:58 a.m. EST on Jan. 29. There
will be no NASA TV coverage of the launch, but once the
Progress reaches orbit, an International Space Station
status report will be available on the Internet at:

http://www.jsc.nasa.gov/news/station/

To make room for the new spacecraft, the Progress that
arrived at the Station last August will be undocked and
deorbited on Jan. 28. NASA TV will not cover undocking.

NASA Television is available on AMC-9, transponder 9C, C-
Band, located at 85 degrees west longitude. The frequency is
3880.0 MHz. Polarization is vertical, and audio is monaural
at 6.80 MHz. For information about NASA TV on the Internet,
