Super High-Speed Internet Satellite KIZUNA (WINDS) Flight Status for 02/24/2008 (Forwarded)

Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) Marunouchi Kitaguchi Building, 1-6-5, Marunouchi, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo 100-8260 Japan TEL: +81-3-6266-6400 February 24, 2008 (JST) Super High-Speed Internet Satellite KIZUNA (WINDS) Flight Status The Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) confirmed that the "KIZUNA" (WINDS) deployed its solar array paddles normally through telemetry and image data received at the Santiago Station, Chile, and Maspalomas Station, Canary Island, Spain. The KIZUNA was launched from the Tanegashima Space Center at 5:55 p.m. on February 23, 2008 (Japan Standard Time, JST [0855 UTC]). The satellite is in good health.
