Book Review Wanted: The Secret of Apollo, by Stephen B. Johnson
I ran across this at the local bookstore. It claims the true secret of
Project Apollo was the management, particularly the kind of management that was created to manage the rather complex post-WW II weapons systems. I skimmed the first couple of chapters and it seemed fairly interesting. Does anyone know if the book is worth the time required to read it? -- Kevin Willoughby lid We'd spend the remaining time trying to fix the engine. -- Neil Armstrong |

Just from this paragraph, it already sounds like something CT wrote :-P You can get a pretty good picture of the managerial techniques from "Stages to Saturn". I believe that many of the techniques originated with USAF projects. |
