Painius I was talking about a lab slowing photons going through cold sodium.(not me) They just don't think what very cold sodium will do. Always its the distance covered. Photons CAN NOT SLOW DOWN period. TreBert

Painius My fastest picture ever taken shows a bullet hitting a wine glass Glass not even a crack, but the free electrons giving off a flare of light an inch and a half long.I did not in reality stop the photons any more than the bullet.I stopped action.I froze time. A strobe light can show glass braking as it hits the wine glass I did it a million times faster. TreBert

Ask why imperial thinkers that tell us photons slow down NEVER tell us how they gain energy at get back to c. Fact is they have us beleive its some type of friction My way is the same reason photons from the core of the Sun take 100,000 years to break through the Sun's surface and take just 8 minutes to get to Earth. Get the picture TreBert

absorption and re emission dufus
upon absorption speed = zero slight delay upon emission speed = C trip time (through material) is longer because the slight delays add "G=EMC^2" wrote in message news:23417306.398.1316485164530.JavaMail.geo-discussion-forums@vbbdd1...
