From a cold beach...
Frozen from Selsey Bill.
Blimey, that wind's a bit chilly. Nearly got wet down there too! However, at least I wasn't imagining it... http://homepage.ntlworld.com/p.lawrence1/newpics/PA300034a.jpg http://homepage.ntlworld.com/p.lawrence1/newpics/PA300037a.jpg -- Pete Lawrence http://www.pbl33.co.uk |

I saw loads in Tonbridge and they were great. In fact the best cloud I have seen for ages. Really good. Probably one of the best cloud events for some considerable time. I'm so glad they were thick enough to blot out that horrendeous sky glow above. I stayed up till 2am enjoying the ever flowing fluffiness. Such a shame lots of people had their evening nobbled by this nebulous solar waste. Regards, Ed. |

Such a shame lots of people had their evening nobbled by this nebulous solar waste. Yes it was a bit hit and miss for some (and almost me - it didn't really clear until about half past midnight). I got one great shot of cloud that I could pass off for an aurora though. I hope those that didn't see it this time around get to see something shortly. This newsgroup is great for such events. To be honest, if I hadn't read a number of the reports coming in, I may well have gone to bed early and missed it. I've done that before - so I know how it feels to read the "wow", "fantastic" posts when you've missed it -- Pete Homepage at http://www.pbl33.co.uk CCD/digicam astronomy |
