There is the annual rotation responsible for the evolution of Arctic sea
ice and it will be there instead of the Earth 'tilts towards and away
from the Sun' ideology which is a throwback to a different time and place.

The issue of creativity and inspiration is one of those things where
existence lights up in the eyes of a spirited person and the lack of this
motivating spirit is how I account for those things which seek to
diminish human endeavor or fail to appreciate something new and
productive - 'hell' in other words. It is true that God is in all things
and all things in God but only when people feel this whenever something
uplifting is observed where life becomes a constant cycle of being inspired and inspiring.

Constantly using a link which doesn't work will not help you to explain
anything.

The link works fine for me, but it is the same old recycled Hubble video showing Uranus, its rings and its moons. A nice video, but not particularly enlightening, it does not show anything that we have not known for years and years...

The polar day/night cycle contains the evolution of Arctic sea ice as a consequence of a surface rotation which can be seen in the time lapse footage of Uranus. The circle of illumination is implicit in that amazing footage hence the planet is seen to turn in two separate ways to the Sun. The polar day/night cycle no longer follows the script of the 'Earth tilts towards and away from the Sun' as some men have enough life in them to realize what is in front of them -

The polar day/night cycle and its cause is anonymous to students and adults even though it shouldn't be. It shows up at lower latitudes as the slow rise and fall in temperatures across the year while at the Norther polar latitude it presents itself as the great annual appearance of sea ice and its disappearance this time of the year. Behind it all is the orbital motion of the Earth as the planet turns once to the central Sun and turns in an uneven way corresponding the the variations in speed of the Earth's motion through space.

It is not intelligence alone that makes us human or separates us from other life on the planet, it the love of achievement and the satisfaction in exploring new ways to look at things or going new places. The people of this planet are subject to sullen, doom laden ideologies rather than treated to the great perspectives which,in turn, create an ever widening spiral of being inspired and be inspiring.

So once again, when an observer gets to 36 seconds in to that time lapse footage they will see the dual surface rotations to the central Sun and realize that 'axial precession' was getting in the way of appreciating what is behind both the daily day/night cycle or the annual polar day/night cycle.

So you can't nome one of those men. That means you were lying. That's hell

Mike - there is zero point trying to debate any issue with Gerald. He doesn't answer questions, cannot change his views and it seems very unlikely he even reads what you write!

Join the Oriel36 boycott!

"I entirely agree with what Chris.B wrote on Saturday 4th April 2015. We must ALL totally ignore Gerald - for Gerald's sake and for the sake of the wider astronomical community.

In my opinion Gerald is getting worse rather than better and I share Chris.B's concerns about "what might happen next"!

"Should we really be continuing to argue with someone who is so obviously mentally ill? By his own words he has condemned himself to that interpretation, countless times, here and on other forums, over quite a number of years..

What worries me is that this mentally ill person is expressing increasingly aggressive behaviour towards those who argue with his ridiculous fantasies.. How long will it be before this mentally ill person channels his aggression and frustration into a physical attack on an innocent victim? Do we really want to be responsible, as a group, for triggering such an attack?

This mentally ill person cannot, or will not, obtain treatment for his serious behavioural problems. Or perhaps, his symptoms do not readily respond to therapy or medication. I can only suggest, yet again, that nobody here responds to this person. At what point does your own, endless repetition display your own behavioural problems? Think about that before your next auto-response to this person's next ridiculous diatribe.

I'm sure we all used to think we were dealing with yet another, deliberately irritating troll pretending to have very eccentric views. However, the severity of his symptoms have developed in lock step with the negative attention he has received online.

He has repeatedly shown sociopathic responses to his responders and clearly lacks any moral sense of responsibility for his own actions. For example; he has repeatedly published my private emails on this forum in direct reaction to my open criticism of his endlessly repeated fantasies.

The situation has now become very like deliberately baiting a mentally ill person. One who insists on going out into public places to berate bystanders with his infantile fantasies. Nobody can have missed the escalating expressions of aggression towards his critics. Who can say that this clearly unbalanced person will not step over the line into a physical attack on a completely random bystander?

As yourself: Who will your next response to this unbalanced person impress? Certainly not the OP! So why bother? To impress this forum's dwindling readership with your unmatched educational skills and Pavlov auto-pedantry? Really?" "

Each year 15,000,000 square km of sea ice forms and disappears around the polar region and this great event is due to the polar day/night cycle and the surface rotation as a component of the orbital motion behind it.

It is more appropriate to ask this question first than what causes the seasons for only when the dual surface rotations of the Earth are understood separately and in combination can a narrative worthy of the 21st century emerge.

The old idea of 'axial precession' along with very sullen minds is preventing this easy to understand principle derived from observations and analogies,on the other hand, the explanation of the precession of the equinoxes takes a lot of work to explain as it is tied in with timekeeping and the less productive approach of the original heliocentric astronomers.

How long can people hold out on this matter ?. For all the talk of fuel, carbon dioxide and lifestyles it doesn't help explain the formation of a ton of sea ice when the only genuine explanation is in this unmoderated forum.

It's very simple. People will believe all sorts of rubbish but when the
rubbish is as obviously wrong as yours not even idiots or the gullible can
believe it.

Yet the vast majority of the human race clings to superstitions which defy all logic or reality.
Baseless superstitions which will have them harm, torture and murder their own offspring and any others who do not practice their own "flavour.".
And always with the complicity of their parasitic religious "teachers."
Arguing with 1462 is much like trying to de-faith those billions who cling desperately to their genetically [i.e. generational] programmed alternative reality.
Their reasons to believe the incomprehensible is [probably] a survival tactic. Anything to avoid facing their own mortality and the utter pointlessness of their own existence in the grand scheme of things.
Anything to avoid questioning the horrific breach of trust of their abusive parents.

Undermining 1461's frail grasp on reality is obviously taking an increasing toll on his mental stability.
He continues to soak up the continuing and completely unwarranted attention of pedants.
Gaining strength, much like a vampire needs a constant supply of blood and fresh victims to survive.
Exposing 1461 to the light of day merely tortures him without actually putting an end to his crimes against reality.
1461 clearly shows increasing aggression towards the majority as time passes.
Why continue to argue with someone, like 1461, who is so obviously beyond all but expert, professional help?
Do you hold recognised qualifications in psychiatry?
Do you offer expert, distance counselling free of charge?
Do you hold comprehensive liability insurance for your online practice?

There are always two types of temperature fluctuations going on simultaneously with Northern hemisphere people experiencing the transition from Polar dawn to Polar noon or Spring into Summer as it is commonly known. It just takes the slightest shift in perception to isolate the Polar day/night cycle as a consequence of the orbital motion of the Earth and that all locations turn slowly and unevenly over the course of an orbit.

There are people who are outwardly tough and they have to be to accomplish those things which drive human endeavor forward however there is another smaller group who are creative and productive in a fragile, delicate way like poets and composers but must be diamond tough inwardly to operate at the highest levels. This is also the level of the type of astronomy that makes sense of the connections between terrestrial experiences and the motions behind them yet in the 21st century it is made so much easier with the emergence of these great imaging tools.

The observer can see the conflict between the old idea of axial precession and the actual observation that a planet turns in separate ways to the central Sun by dwelling on the time lapse footage in those 20 seconds beginning about 38 seconds into the video.

All the histrionics directed at me is going to prevent the enjoyable insight from breaking through into wider circulation as not only does the internet make this new astronomy possible but sweeps away the academic lethargy which prevents the smooth transition to the more productive view.

There is no idealistic old astronomy to go back to, there is just today and the tools available to people who value visual imaging over voodoo chanting and bluffing dumped into the celestial arena as astronomy. What readers are seeing is the beginning of a new astronomy where there is no ability to hide behind consensus or non visual assertions .
